maternity | laci & cason | siloam springs, ar maternity photographer

Happy Friday! New on the blog today: insanely hot maternity photos.

See what I mean? Aren't they just gorg??

We shot this session at Billups Classic Cars & Auto Body shop in West Siloam. Not only does it have phenomenal light, but it also has some pretty awesome gutted cars in the back. Score!

So sweet.

Rawr.

If halfway attired hot people offend you, please click away now - you're missing out if you do though! Thank you Laci for letting me share these portraits, you guys are stunning! I've known Laci for awhile, but this was my first time meeting Cason - I think this portrait sums up their personalities nicely!

There was a very busy 412 about 50 feet <-- that way. Laci, you're a champ! Love it.

Ohemgee. So gorgeous you guys are.

And yes, we did the beer and belly shot from pinterest. Doesn't it go great with Cason's awesome tats though?

Laci & Cason, thanks for letting me share these - I can't wait to take Charleigh's newborn pictures soon! Ladies, Laci's hair and makeup is awesome right? Check her out at Sundaze Salon in West Siloam!

Have a great weekend!

newborns | baby abilene is here! | westville, ok newborn phtographer

Hey guys! I've got a super presh newborn session to share with you today. Meet baby Abilene, daughter of Sheri and Derek; sister of Roman, Evan, and angel Lainee (more about their story here). I've been waiting awhile to share these, so lets get started! Isn't she as cute as a button?

Just perfect.

Love this little headband!!

Sheri actually made her little outfit (like cows, sewing is another thing that both fascinates and scares me). Super cute! And have you ever seen such big beautiful eyes?

Peacock feathers and lime green. Yes please.

Abilene was the first baby to try out this new bucket, I think she did it justice. No photoshop here folks - she really was holding her head up like that! I'll bet she'll be walking by 3 months at this rate...any takers??

Aren't these binky's just the best?

What a sleep fighter she was on this day! But alas, the bucket (and the trusty paci) won (again).

This photo is my favorite photo from her session. I love Lainee's angel wings next to Abilene like this - just perfect.

Daddys girl!

This girl actually has the bladder capacity of a large child. If I'm not mistaken, the picture on the right is about the time Abilene peed all over her mom. It just wouldn't stop! Funniest.Thing. Ever.

Ending on a sweet note, I'll leave you with a little smile. Love it!

Happy Friday!

hot deals | fall mini sessions | siloam springs, ar photographer

Did all the rain yesterday make you think of fall? I sure did! Do you know what fall also makes me think of? FALL MINI SESSIONS BABY!! And egg nog. Yum. Anyways, who's ready for mini sessions?

I will be holding fall mini sessions October 26th - October 28th in downtown Siloam Springs, AR, in and around the park. Portraits make great gifts - this is a great way to knock out most of your Christmas shopping in one stop! Details:

  • up to a 25 minute fun filled session
  • 10 full res fully edited images of your choice on disc, with a non-commercial print release
  • 1 8x10 gift print of your favorite image
  • and HUGE savings on great gift a la carte items! You can view a list of a la carte items available for this promotion here.

Mini sessions will be available in the following time slots: 4:00PM, 4:30PM, 5:00PM, 5:30PM, and 6:00PM (best slot of the day!!); on October 26th, 27th, and 28th. In case of inclement weather (eg: rain and/or heavy wind), your mini session will be rescheduled during the following week at your convenience. Session times may be slightly adjusted due to cloud cover, or if by odd chance the sunset calculator is off. For questions and to book, email me at melissa@melissawalkerphotography.net.

The fine print: Payment is due in full on the day of your session. For new clients, I will be charging a $20 retainer fee to reserve your spot, which is non refundable if you cancel. I only have 15 mini-session spots available, so I need to make sure everyone will be there! The remaining $80 is then due on your shooting date. Mini session spots are scheduled in the order I receive booking confirmation or your retainer fee if it applies, so act fast!

And just because I can't post without leaving an awesome foot shot (a fall one even!!) in my wake:

Happy Thursday!! Best wishes to you and yours,

Mel

maternity | cows, cowboys and a baby bump | stillwell, ok maternity photographer

Howdy folks! (Ok, saying that makes me feel just the slightest bit redneck). Time to get in the cowboy frame of mind though, yeeehaww!! Today I mailed off Cash & Gracelin's disc, so I thought I would share their session with ya'll! Isn't Gracelin beautimous?

What an awesome session location we had! It came complete with cows, cowboys, and perty sunrise (6am!! no late risers here folks) light. Aww yeah.

These folks are all about the rodeo. They were actually training there while we were shooting, very cool! I do not remember what this thing they were doing is called...um...cow jumping? steer chasing? No hatin' guys - I am Seattle suburb born and raised so it's allowed to not know what this is called. Gracelin did tell me what exactly they were doing while Cash was making a quick egg mcmuffin run, but to be honest the cows thundering by were a bit too scary to commit that tidbit to memory.

Jumping from a galloping horse onto a cow is sheer madness. I'll have to admit it looks pretty cool though!

And just so you don't think this whole post is about cows and horses, here's one of Cash, Gracelin, and yet to be born Cashlin (combination of Cash & Gracelin...awwwh). As you can see, they're not scared of the cows one bit. Fearless people.

 Helllllooo there big scary cow.

Let's move on to prettier things, shall we? You guys are too stinkin' cute.

Can't forget the feet shot!

You get these cool belt buckles when you jump on cows for a living. I have a feeling Cashlin is going to be born riding a horse. Giddyup!!

The farm came packaged with it's very own license plate wall on one of the outbuildings, yeah buddy! +10 points for awesomeness and laughter.

And +20 points for awesome light.

The farm also came with a dog prop. This little guy is so protective over Gracelin, so precious.

You guys kill me with your gorgeousness.

So presh!

Thanks for choosing me to take your maternity portraits Cash & Gracelin! I can't wait to see your bump again in October. I'll end this post now with a picture of a scary cow, just to freak out Sheri because I know she'll look at this post. <3 ya girl!

Til next time,

Mel (and the cow)
