newborns | baby abilene is here! | westville, ok newborn phtographer

Hey guys! I've got a super presh newborn session to share with you today. Meet baby Abilene, daughter of Sheri and Derek; sister of Roman, Evan, and angel Lainee (more about their story here). I've been waiting awhile to share these, so lets get started! Isn't she as cute as a button?

Just perfect.

Love this little headband!!

Sheri actually made her little outfit (like cows, sewing is another thing that both fascinates and scares me). Super cute! And have you ever seen such big beautiful eyes?

Peacock feathers and lime green. Yes please.

Abilene was the first baby to try out this new bucket, I think she did it justice. No photoshop here folks - she really was holding her head up like that! I'll bet she'll be walking by 3 months at this rate...any takers??

Aren't these binky's just the best? 

What a sleep fighter she was on this day! But alas, the bucket (and the trusty paci) won (again). 

This photo is my favorite photo from her session. I love Lainee's angel wings next to Abilene like this - just perfect.

Daddys girl!

This girl actually has the bladder capacity of a large child. If I'm not mistaken, the picture on the right is about the time Abilene peed all over her mom. It just wouldn't stop! Funniest.Thing. Ever.

Did all the rain yesterday make you think of fall? I sure did! Do you know what fall also makes me think of? FALL MINI SESSIONS BABY!! And egg nog. Yum. Anyways, who's ready for mini sessions?

I will be holding fall mini sessions October 26th - October 28th in downtown Siloam Springs, AR, in and around the park. Portraits make great gifts - this is a great way to knock out most of your Christmas shopping in one stop! Details:

• up to a 25 minute fun filled session
• 10 full res fully edited images of your choice on disc, with a non-commercial print release
• 1 8x10 gift print of your favorite image
• and HUGE savings on great gift a la carte items! You can view a list of a la carte items available for this promotion here.

Mini sessions will be available in the following time slots: 4:00PM, 4:30PM, 5:00PM, 5:30PM, and 6:00PM (best slot of the day!!); on October 26th, 27th, and 28th. In case of inclement weather (eg: rain and/or heavy wind), your mini session will be rescheduled during the following week at your convenience. Session times may be slightly adjusted due to cloud cover, or if by odd chance the sunset calculator is off. For questions and to book, email me at melissa@melissawalkerphotography.net.

The fine print: Payment is due in full on the day of your session. For new clients, I will be charging a $20 retainer fee to reserve your spot, which is non refundable if you cancel. I only have 15 mini-session spots available, so I need to make sure everyone will be there! The remaining $80 is then due on your shooting date. Mini session spots are scheduled in the order I receive booking confirmation or your retainer fee if it applies, so act fast!

I love fall. Fall, fall, fall. I love the crisp air that tickles your nose, the rainbow of colors that becomes the trees, and all things pumpkin flavored that tend to make an appearance about this time of year. Work related, fall means SENIORS!! Senior girl sessions are one of my top fave to shoot, and by golly (redneckness left over from the last blog post maybe?) have I got a good one for you! Through our trek through downtown Siloam, we ran into the owner of the Balloon Closet downtown who hooked us up with the biggest pink balloon I have ever seen. Guys/gals - if you need some festive helium filled deco for your next event - this is the guy to go to, hands down!

And out came the awesomest lime green pumps ever. Seriously.

The feet that go into those awesome lime green heels also can simultaneously kick 5 soccer balls across the SSHS football field. Internet, I have seen it.

I did try to catch a picture of her bouncing a soccer ball off her head, however... that resulted in balls flying towards my head (which looked much much bigger through the lens, mind you) so we gave that idea up and threw them up in the air instead. Note to self: Next time bring a helmet.
